Kale Halperin grew up on Lake Michigan. She went on to attend Rhode Island School of Design where she painted, drew and explored the world of digital image making.

Kale began her artistic career drawing fossils at the American Museum of Natural History in New York. She left detailed rendering behind for a more expressive form of image making: print and pattern design. Print design has taken her to Tom Cody Design, Rebecca Taylor and LeSportsac.

She resides in Brooklyn where she draws inspiration from the yellow ginko trees and brooklyn curiosities.
